Worms begin eating waste in the lowest tray, and then migrate upward as food sources in that tray are exhausted. This means that the once the lower trays are filled with ready-to-use compost, they are worm-free! This cycling, stackable tray system also means the Worm Factory® can produce nutrient-rich compost and "worm tea" at a faster rate than traditional forms of composting.
Made in the USA from high-quality, post-consumer recycled plastic. Includes base and trays, "worm tea" Collection Tray, 16 page instruction booklet, 250 gm coir brick and shredded paper. Worms not included. Weighs approximately 11 lbs. when empty. Measures 16" x 16" across x 21" high.
